Parking Ordinance raises questions

A new ordinance being considered by the Sidney City Council would prohibit certain trucks from parking in any residential area.

Ordinance 1787 specifies “motor carriers, common carriers or contract carriers” would not be allowed to stop or park in any street or alley within a residence district “except for the purpose of expeditiously loading or unloading their commercial contents.”

The ordinance does not specify length and width for vehicles.
