Potter-Dix, Creek Valley advance in D2-12 SubDistrict play

Creek Valley's No. 1 Payge Misegadis hits past Leyton's No. 8 Destinee Henke during Monday's D-2-12 subdistrict play at Sidney High School. The final round of subdistrict play occurred Tuesday with Creek Valley advancing to play Potter-Dix. In D1-12 action, Garden County and Crawford faced off Tuesday to decide the SubDistrict winner.

The Creek Valley Lady Storm and Potter-Dix Coyotoes met Tuesday night to decide the winner of the D2-12 volleyball subdistrict tournament Tuesday.

The tournament opened with Minatare facing Banner. That match went four sets with Minatare claiming three of the four sets for a win: 24-26, 25-15, 25-21 and 26-24.

The second game was just as tough with Leyton and Creek Valley facing off. Creek Valley won the match in three sets, but not without some impressive volleys often ending in who made a mistake. Creek Valley defeated Leyton in what could be called a post-season grudge match 25-15, 28-2...
