Tree of Remembrance Set Thursday

Losing a loved one is painful, particularly around the holidays.

To help ease that pain, Sidney Regional Medical Center's Home Health Hospice is hosting the Community Tree of Remembrance Ceremony at the Legion Park shelter house Thursday at 6 p.m.

"This time of year becomes very challenging," said Evette Ranslem-Parsons, SRMC director of public relations. "This is a way for people to get together for camaraderie, to let people know they aren't alone."

As part of the ceremony, a list of those being remembered will be read. There will be entertainment, speakers will share their stories, and afterward the group will join together in singing "Silent Night."

Ranslem-Parsons said all are welcome to join in the ceremony.
