Langley Commits To North Platte

Trinity Langley, senior at Potter-Dix High School, signed a letter of intent Thursday, Dec. 7, to play volleyball at North Platte Community College.

The formal signing and a reception were held at Potter-Dix High School.

"Trinity has worked hard, probably since before junior high," said NPCC assistant coach Sally Thalken.

Thalken said to transition to the college level, an athlete has to show specific characteristics, including willing to learn and a strong work ethic.

"I can't be more proud of someone like Trinity who wants to get an education," she said.

Trinity was surrounded by her parents, Justin and Meredith Langley and Potter-Dix coaches Brad Hicks and Nancy Bunner.

In her four-year high school career, Langley played in 247 sets. She recorded 552 kills, averaging 2.2 kills per set. She also served 78 aces from 585 attempts, earning 196 points in her four years.

Langley is also credited with 273 solo blocks and 72 block assistsfor a total of 345 blocks.

The North Platte women's volleyball team finished the 2017 season with a 19-23 record.
