Marjorie (Devier) Schupe - Obituary

Marjorie (Devier) Shupe, age 89 of Scottsdale, AZ and former Dalton resident passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 6, 2017 in Scottsdale.

A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, January 26th with a Wake Service at 5:30 P.M., Thursday, January 25th. Both services will be in the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Dalton with Father Dave Rykwalder officiating. Inurnment will follow the Mass in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Marjorie's name to St. Mary's Catholic Church, 718 Francis St., Dalton, NE 69131, or to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix AZ, 85014. Friends may stop at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel to sign Marjorie's register book and drop off condolences for the family.

Gehrig-Stitt Chapel & Cremation Service, LLC is in charge of Marjorie's care and funeral arrangements.

Marjorie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, sister and terrific friend. She was a strong woman and her kindness and sweetness always brought out the best in everyone around her. Marjorie was the eldest of four children born and raised on a farm in Dalton, NE. Marjorie and her husband Lawrence moved to Scottsdale in 1976. She will be greatly missed by all those who have been blessed by knowing her. Marjorie's list of friends grew through her involvement with the Granite Reef Senior Center in Scottsdale.

Marjorie is survived by her daughter Constance Butler (Kent) of California, her son Lawrence J. Shupe II (Patricia) of Colorado, 4 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, Sister Marva Buettner, and Brother Ron Devier.
