Darlene I. Stromer - Obituary

Darlene Isobel (Brooks) Stromer was born to Harry and Gladys (Beck) Brooks on June 30, 1946 in Hastings, Nebraska. She Passed away April 26, 2018 at her home in Lyons, Nebraska.

Darlene graduated from Juniata High School, in Juniata, Nebraska, in 1964. On May 8, 1970 she was married to Jacob (Jack) P. Stromer in Juniata. They lived most of their lives together in Potter, Nebraska. They retired and moved to Lyons in 2014.

Darlene worked at Cabela's in Sidney, Nebraska for over 20 years. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Lyons.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Gordon Brooks and Rolland Brooks; sister, Barb Rynearson.

Survivors include her husband, Jack of Lyons; sons, Scott (Rameena) Stromer of Hudson, FL; Andrew (Tammy) Stromer of Killen, AL; Chris (Brook) Stromer of Arlington, NE; grandchildren, Sarah Stromer, Brandon Stromer, Ashlie (Charles) Cornwell, Katlyn (Hunter) Saucer, Alec Stromer, Abby Stromer; brothers, Gary (Dee) Brooks, Gayle (Alice) Brooks; sister, Joyce (Larry) Bennett.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 1, 2018, 10:30 am, at First Presbyterian Church in Lyons. There will be no visitation. Burial will be held at a later date at the Edgar Cemetery, Edgar, Nebraska.

Memorials can be made to the family for later designation.
