The American Red Cross Is Seeking A Team Of Volunteers To Hold Blood Drives In The Sidney Area

The Red Cross movement is truly something special; millions of people have benefited from the labors of our volunteers. Throughout the Red Cross; volunteers contribute in countless ways, including serving on boards, providing counseling to military and civilian families, organizing special events, administering community programs and responding to emergencies.

In the Midwest Region Blood Services, volunteers serve by donating blood, organizing blood drives, and greeting and serving donors. The American Red Cross could not operate without the tireless efforts of volunteers.

Red Cross is currently looking to expand its volunteer group. They are searching for dedicated individuals who want to give back to the community through service with the American Red Cross Blood Services.

Needed are volunteers to act as coordinator or co-coordinator of the Sidney Blood Drive. The perfect person(s) would be organized, personable and motivated individuals to take the helm.

Volunteers must be comfortable with customer service, willing to greet blood donors and socialize while providing care post donation, make phone calls to schedule donor appointments and behind-the-scenes organizational duties. We want to find individuals willing to commit to 10-15 hours for each blood drive (The number of blood drives each year will depend on how many volunteers we find).

Contact Amanda Koubek at 308-660-6709 or [email protected], with any questions or for more details. We look forward to hearing back and hope to expand our volunteer group with more dedicated individuals!
