    Construction crews have been busy preparing the site of the new Sidney outdoor aquatic center. On Thursday morning, concrete was being poured for the competition pool. City of Sidney Park Superintendent Tom von Seggern said according to the contractor, construction is on schedule.     The Sidney Public Library hosted Michigan author Tim Smith, also known as Buck Wilder. Smith spoke to young children about his books to inspire them to read, use their imaginations and to believe in themselves. He also discussed his love for the outdoors and how that reflects in his "Buck Wilder" series.     Gerald (Jerry) Everingim, 79 of Brush, Colo., passed away on Monday, Sept. 28, 2015. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, Oct. 2, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Heer Mortuary Chapel in Brush. Jerry was born in Denver on January 12, 1936 to Imelda (Fregeau) and William Everingim. He owned a Millwright business in Colorado for several years. Jerry enjoyed gardening and spending time with his friends and dog Daisy.     The Sidney High School golf team placed a pair of golfers in the Top 10 en route to a third-place finish at the Columbus Scotus Invite on Wednesday.
