    A permanent injunction against a no longer operational gravel and excavation company and its former owners could soon be vacated. On Monday morning, the Cheyenne County Board of Commissioners unanimously voted to support a joint filing on behalf of Raymond and Teresa Kuehn to vacate a permanent injunction preventing them from conducting gravel mining operations on a parcel of land west of Sidney.     Sidney High School senior Sara Von Seggern was recognized as a recipient of the 2014-15 Believers & Achievers Award at halftime of the boys' D2 championship game at Pinnacle Bank Arena on Saturday. To qualify, a student must have a grade-point average of at least 3.75, participate in NSAA-sponsored activities and be involved in school and community service.   • Planning Commission OKs preliminary industrial park plat

    The Sidney Industrial Park moved a step closer to fruition on Monday night. By a unanimous vote, the Sidney Planning Commission recommended the city council approve a plat application to subdivide – into four individual lots – the 22-acre tract of land that will become the initial phase of the city’s planned industrial park. The application will now move to the Sidney City Council for approval. A total of 86 acres have been identified as the site of an industrial park, which will be developed in phases.     LINCOLN, Neb. – Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol issued 404 citations and warnings for speeding during high visibility enforcement efforts conducted during the boys’ state basketball tournament from March 12-14.     Western Nebraska Community College’s Sidney Campus has received a $4000 grant from the Thomas D. Buckley Trust for the spring 2015 semester. The college will distribute the grant to eight students, with each student receiving $500.
