    On Saturday evening around 7:30 p.m. Cheyenne County Deputies responded to an accident north of Sidney on Highway 385. Sidney resident Samantha Buttle was turning left on highway 30 when she was struck by a United States' Airforce humvee heading north on high way 385 driven by Kele Kaminski from Sultan, Washington.   • Nebraska hunters feed the hungry

    Nebraskan hunters get the opportunity to help feed the hungry by donating their deer to the Hunters Helping the Hungry (HHH) program. The HHH program is a Nebraska Game and Parks program created by the Nebraska Legislature in April 2012. The program provides pure ground venison to Nebraskans in need. According to the Neb. Game and Parks 2015 program report, there were 501 deer donated by 437 hunters. Resulting in 23,374 pounds of venison to be donated to the hungry.     November is National Diabetes Awareness Month. There are multiple types of diabetes people can have which include, type one, type two and gestational diabetes. Keith Jones, a former Sidney resident who now lives in Kimball was diagnosed with diabetes type one when he was five years old. His mother originally got him tested because he was excessively thirsty and hungry all the time and used the restroom more than usual.
