    Time is running out for Cheyenne County to find additional space for probation offices before it loses grant money for that purpose. Chief probation officer for district 12, Linda Buehler visited with the Cheyenne County commissioners several times within the past year, each time asking for more space for the Cheyenne County office.     Jenny Myers admitted to being "a little nervous" as the Sidney high team faced judges at the Nebraska Envirothon State Championship on Saturday. But she did not let that interfere with the challenge at hand. Sidney's team of Myers, Ryan Birner, Jaide Wachtel, Jessica Campbell and Logan Uhlir finished second in the event, just 10 points behind Concordia.     Cheyenne County voters will make few decisions on the local level in this year’s primary election on May 13. The big issue for many voters is the almost $17 million Sidney school bond, which would pay for a new K-4 school to replace the three aging schools which currently house those grade levels.     Dale D. Foster, 77 of Potter, was welcomed into heaven on Friday, May 2, 2014 in his home. Memorial services will be held 2 p.m., Fri., May 9th in the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel with Rev. Leonard Suhr officiating. Cremation has taken place. Private Family graveside inurnment will be held at a later date.     Wilson Eugene "Gene" Triplett died April 28, 2014 at Life Care Center. He was 94 years old. He was born May 26, 1919 in Chappell, Neb. to Wilson K. and Freida (Sudman) Triplett. He graduated from Chappell High School in 1937 and while there was a member of the basketball team. Gene was inducted into the US Army on Feb. 7, 1941 and served as a surgical technician with the medical detachment of the 134th Infantry.
