  • City hopes to use national alliance to cut equipment costs

    The city now has the option of using a national bidding processes to find the best prices for equipment and vehicles. A statewide bidding process has already been employed for several years by the city to purchase vehicles and other major pieces. This system is considered less time-consuming than the individual bid process.     Ogallala might have nightmares about T.J. Garska. If so, they should be forgiven. The Sidney hurler simply overpowered visiting hitters Tuesday night at Legion Park. On his way to a 5-3 complete game win, Garska fanned 14 and walked just one. During one stretch, he struck out five Ogallala batters in a row.
