    The Cheyenne County Chamber of Commerce is aggressively seeking funding sources to continue downtown Sidney improvement projects. That is according to a presentation Chamber President and CEO Hope Feeney gave to the Sidney City Council Tuesday.     The Sidney Area Solid Waste Agency board met for one of its rare meetings Tuesday, approving issuance of revenue bonds to finance new equipment at the landfill. Tuesday night was the fourth meeting since 1997 for the Sidney Area Solid Waste Agency board.   • SPD Continues Counterfeit Money Investigation

    Sidney Police Department is continuing its investigation following the discovery of counterfeit bills in a Sidney aprtment last week. Sidney Police Chief Joe Aikens said the investigation uncovered information that bills matching those found were passed in Kimball. SPD is working with the Nebraska State Patrol to learn more about the incidents in Kimball.     Results from the Nebraska Farm Real Estate Survey show a statewide average value drop of 4 percent to $2,720 per acre. This marks the fourth consecutive year of declining Nebraska agricultural land values.     Oshkosh Eastern Star Chapter 264 members Mert and Janet Zoucha, Joanna Kepler and Kristy Nerud traveled to Sidney recently to present Marian Hiett with her 70-year membership certificate.
