    The Sidney City Council tabled an agenda item on Tuesday that would have allowed the proposed new swimming pool project to move forward after bids came back higher than expected.     Max Wilkie, 90, passed away July 23, 2015 at Sterling House Assisted Living in Loveland, Colo. He was born May 10, 1925 to Robert and Florence (Halkyard) Wilkie on the Wilkie Farm south of Gibbon, Neb. He attended Gibbon Public School and graduated in 1942. On November 28, 1942 he married Bernidean Smith. Together they had four children. Max and Bernidean enjoyed dancing, raising sheep and cattle and spending time with their family and friends.
