    The Cheyenne County Commissioners are set to propose a budget with cuts amounting to almost $1 million. The cuts are a result of a substantial decrease in the county's valuation, according to commissioner Randal Miller. “We are doing everything we can to lower the mill levy again,” Miller said in Monday morning's meeting.     According to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, in 2018 suicide was the 10th leading cause of death; the second leading cause of death for people ages 15 to 34, fourth for ages 35-54 and eighth for those ages 55 to 64. In 2018, Nebraska lost 246 by suicide, or 13.05 per 100,000 population. Nationally, the numbers are much higher with 44,965 deaths by suicide at 13.42 people per 100,000 population.     The Cheyenne County Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Cheyenne County project for this year teamed up with Community Action Partnership to collect and distribute school supplies for children in need in the Cheyenne County area.
