  • Final presentation for nuisance ordinance to be presented

    Sidney’s Planning Commission will be offering its final presentation on adopting an ordinance for chronic nuisances tonight at the last city council meeting of the month. As presented, the ordinance would create a “three strikes rule.” With the rule, any property that has three or more documented violations within a six-month period would be required to abate the nuisance or be charged with a simple misdemeanor and a fine up to $500. Greg Claassen and his “friends” have been performing a Ventriloquist comedy show for the past 30 years throughout North America and Canada. Claassen began his career as a young child determined to learn how to “throw his voice” which means to make something that is not real, such as a toy, seem to be speaking.
