    One of the high moments of a county fair is the crowning of the Fair or Rodeo queen. The queen and her attendants represent Cheyenne County at other county events and fairs at other counties.     Robert Wayne Sprengel, of Lakewood, Colorado, passed away at the age of 99 on November 27, 2018. Robert (Bob) was born to Lacy and Christine (Olson) Sprengel on January 27, 1919, in York, Nebraska. He was baptized in the Christian faith on March 11, 1919 at the Lutheran Church in Gresham, Nebraska. Robert was inducted in to the United States Army on December 18, 1942.     The Western Nebraska Community College women’s soccer team placed two players on this year’s All-Region team that was released recently. Thais Nayara, a freshman from Brazil, earned first team honors as a defender, while Carol Vieira, a freshman from Brazil, garnered second team honors as a midfielder.
