Leyton's Lady Warrior Girls Basketball team opened their season strong with two big wins, on the road against Kimball on Friday and at home Saturday against Morrill. Their season opener on Friday had them matched up against the Kimball lady Longhorns, a team that struggled with a 7-and-15 record last year. • Storm Boys Drop Opener To Hyannis

    Mike Motz|Dec 8, 2022

Last year, the Creek Valley Storm Boys Basketball team opened their season at home against Hyannis, and dropped the contest 69-to-13, which was the first of many losses in a difficult 2-and-21 season for the Storm. This year, Creek Valley traveled to Hyannis for the season opener, and although they didn't get a win, the 74-to-33 result was a lot closer than last year's contest. Hyannis was a powerhouse team last year, ending the season with a 22-and-2 record until getting bounced from the...

  • Lady Storm Struggle in Opener

    Mike Motz|Dec 8, 2022

After a 2021-22 season that had the Lady Storm struggle and notch just two wins, Creek Valley's opening loss to the Hyannis Lady Longhorns did have bright spots, the most being that the Lady Storm kept the game close and were able to move the ball well on offense. With only one senior on the roster, Elizabeth Whiting, the Lady Storm are relying on their younger players to provide spark and athleticism this season, and in their first game they played well. The 39-to-29 final score did not end up...
