LINCOLN--What started as an experiment in Class A Basketball games three years ago, expanded to Class B this season, and now all six Classes will be implementing a shot clock in NSAA High School Basketball games. The proposal was approved last Thursday at the NSAA's monthly meeting after a previous vote had only District V rejecting the proposal. The only thing that seems able to stop the Sidney Lady Raider and Red Raider Basketball teams this season is the weather, which caused the postponement of their contests against North Platte on Saturday, January 13. KEARNEY/MCCOOK--The Sidney Red Raider Basketball teams continued their undefeated seasons on Saturday with big wins against challenging opponents. The Lady Raiders were able to rally past C1 top-ranked Lincoln Christian to stay undefeated, and move up to #1 in the Omaha World Herald's weekly statewide C1 rankings. SIDNEY--Sidney High School was bustling Friday afternoon as 18 teams and over 100 wrestlers converged met here to compete in the Sidney Girls 2024 Invitational. DALTON--Leyton's Lady Warrior Volleyball team, after a successful 27-6 season and a District Finals match, had a number of players named to the MAC All-conference team.
