Wrestling champ – Brody Raines, 10, Sidney, recently became a state champion in the Colorado Metro Junior Wrestling League. When not participating with the Sidney Raiders, Brody competes with the Sterling (Colo.) Northeast Twisters.During January and February, Brody moved through qualifying tournaments to reach the state finals, held at the University of Colorado-Greeley Feb. 3. In winning the title, Brody had to knock off the top seeds out of each region. In the title bout, Brody had to face an opponent that had defeated him in the regional championship. Brody won the bout, 8-7, and the championship.
