Rodney Eugene Hazlitt, 61, of Pierce, Colo., passed away Feb. 27, 2013, at North Colorado Medical Center.

He was born on April 24,1951, in Sidney, to Harry and Lillian (Carlson) Hazlitt. Rodney grew up in Sidney where he attended school. He moved to Pierce in the fall of 1992.

Rodney was a big Nebraska Cornhuskers fan and appreciated his nephew Ken getting him a schedule of the games each year. He could tell you where all the good places to eat were located. Rodney was a kindhearted person who never met a stranger and always showed concern for other people.
