Gabriel Portillo, 37, of Sidney sustained a gunshot wound to the chest area Wednesday evening.
At this time, it appears to law enforcement that Portillo was accidentally shot by a juvenile.
Portillo was flown to Loveland, Colorado for surgery and is currently in stable condition. Witnesses have been identified in this case and the investigation is ongoing.
