Kaitlyn Berner was the kill leader for Leyton against Pine Bluffs with 10. Kelsey Waite and Kassandra Harris had eight and seven kills. Carly Rushman and Harris were perfect from the service line with 15 and 13 attempts respectively.

"Pine Bluffs was aggressive and came out and took the first set off of us. But we responded very well," Warriors Head Coach Jodi Craig said.

The Warriors scored 15 points off Shaela Jenkins serves. Katy Ernest had 27 assists. The diggers were led by Rushman (11), Jenkins (10) and Diedra Waite (10).

Against Glendo, Waite and Jenkins led with four and three kills respectively. Ernest had five assists. Defensively, Berner and Harris had a pair of digs each.

In the championship match against Potter-Dix, Leyton made only two service errors on its way to winning the tournament. Waite and Jenkins led in kills with four each while Berner added three. Jenkins and Waite pulled out seven digs each and Ernest six. Ernest also had 12 assists.

"Potter-Dix played very strong defense against us and served well too," Craig said. "They get better every time we play them. If we could just imporve at the same rate we'd be in great shape."

The Warriors next match is Tuesday night when they travel to Chappell for a Creek Valley triangular. Haxtun, Colo. will also be there. The first match will get underway at 5 p.m.
