PMHC moves to new office

The Panhandle Mental Health Center (PMHC) moved to a new office just over a year ago. The staff decided that a better facility more suitable to their clients was needed. The building on 8th Avenue in Sidney has provided easier access for patients.

On Thursday, the staff held a Business After Hours event, inviting the community to see the facility and meet the staff.

“We just want people to know that we’re here for everybody and we’re available to serve their needs,” clinician Nichole Peralta said.

Currently, PMHC caters to about 200 clients between all clinicians. The facility also offers telehealth services out of Scottsbluff, children’s services and community support/emergency community support. Valerie Rudden is shown explaining the different types of play, artistic and dance therapy to help kids in town deal with bullying, ADD/ADHD and parents going through divorces.

PMHC offers a sliding scale fee, meaning that if clients do not have insurance, fees are based on income and household size. PMHC’s phone number is (308) 254-2649.
