Area businesses, public invited to learn about upcoming development

So many new project are going on around Sidney right now, they might be hard to keep track of. Anyone interested in updates on the big projects happening in the area can attend a briefing next month.

Sidney’s economic development team worked with Cabela’s to coordinate an economic development briefing from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Holiday Inn on Nov. 5.

“The whole idea is to educate everybody to where we’re at with the different projects and the time lines and the exciting opportunities that are coming forward,” said city manager Gary Person.

Representatives from Adams industries and Sidney Regional Medical Center will also be in attendance to talk about new developments at their businesses as well.

The purpose of the briefing is to inform the public as well as to target the business community in this general region. Area businesses can hear about all the new developments and perhaps explore some business opportunities they that might be available to them to provide more services and subcontracting work.

“We certainly want to spread the word throughout the region to invite folks in to hear about all of that,” Person said.
