Lucille Martin, 86, of Aurora, Colo., a former Sidney resident, passed peacefully in her sleep on Friday, Nov. 1, 2013 in Billings, Mont.

There will be a viewing at Newcomer Funeral Home on Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Fri. Nov. 8, 2013 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Aurora, Colo. with Pastor Marcel Narucki officiating. Burial will be the following Friday November 15, 2013 at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colo. Arrangements are by Newcomer Funeral Home.

Lucille was born in Sidney to Mollie and John Glanz on June 23, 1927. She attended school in Sidney, the same place where she later met and married Raymond Martin. They had eight children. Lucille worked as a nurses' aide for a number of companies over the course of her adult life. She was involved in many activities involving her children's school as well as being an active member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church. She received an award for service at the hospital in Denver where she worked for many years.

Lucille is preceded in death by her husband Raymond Martin, her son Richard Martin, parents Mollie Glanz and John Glanz, and brothers LeRoy Glanz and Harold Glanz.

Lucille is survived by her children David and wife Kathleen Martin, William and wife Michele Martin, Deborah Martin, Kathleen Martin, Raeann (Martin) Stover, Renee (Hull) and husband Kevin Drake, and Robert Martin. She is survived by her siblings Clara Benzel, John and JoAn Glanz, Leslie and Cheri Glanz, Muriel Glanz (sister-in-law), and Elaine Glanz (sister-in-law). She is survived by grandchildren Michele (Jon) Simmons, Stacey (Peter) Berg, Andrew Martin, Benjamin Martin, Emily Zillig, Krista (Justin) Whitcomb, Katryna (Gary) Lays, Sarah Martin, Alyssa Martin, Alan (Victoria) Hull, Zachary Hull, Kendall (Stephen) Whitmer and Kevin (Brittney) Drake. She is survived by her great-grandchildren Alexander Simmons, Ian Simmons, Aidan Simmons, Tyler James "T.J." Berg, David Berg, MaryKate Berg, Zoe Zillig, August Zillig, Alexandria Whitcomb, Logan Whitcomb, Destiny Whitcomb, Annalillia Lays, Cora Lays, Lincoln Whitmer, and Launa Whitmer. She is survived also by many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Alan Hull (grandson), Zachary Hull (grandson), Edward Glanz (nephew), Roger Glanz (nephew), Leonard Suhr (nephew), and Peter Berg (grandson).
