Mustangs on Pumpkin Creek

Long before scholars of the written language began to record the history of the Great Plains there was the oral history of the Native Americans who roamed the region. Pawnee legend tells of a young brave who captured many fine horses in the area now known as the Pumpkin Creek Valley.
