Coyotes win wild one at South Platte


After building up a 5 point halftime lead, Potter-Dix hung on to claim a 36-35 win at South Platte on Saturday. But the outcome was hardly certain in the game’s waning moments.

The home side took a 35-34 lead with 1:22 remaining and clung to the narrow advantage for almost a minute. With just over 30 seconds on the clock, Taylor Juelfs forced her way into the paint, issued a quick turn and drained a critical jumper.

“That’s the only move I’ve got,” Juelfs said of the pivot that opened the shot.
