Creek Valley's Low 1-2 at Sandhills

Mason Low represented the Creek Valley wrestling team at the Knights Invite in Sandhills on Saturday and finished the day with a 1-2 record in the 195 lbs. weight class.

In his first battle Austin Miller of Southwest pinned Low just five seconds from the end of the match. Low rebounded in a consolation match by bringing down his opponent from Anselmo-Merna in just 22 seconds. Nathaniel Foster of Sutherland won by a decision in Low’s final competition of the meet.

Creek Valley will host a junior varsity match on Thursday with up to eight teams competing. The action is scheduled to get undeway at 3 p.m.

The Storm will take to the mat again on Feb. 1, at the Irish Invite at North Platte St. Patricks High School.
