US Marine Pvt. Nathaniel Votruba graduated Jan. 10, 2014, from boot camp at Marine Corps Recruiting Depot San Diego, CA Golf Company G Platoon 2146.
Nathaniel is the son of Myron and Cora Votruba and a 2013 graduate from Sidney.
Votruba completed 13 weeks of intense training which consisted of physical and academic training, core values, martial arts, combat water survival, marksmanship training (which he scored at expert level), field firing range, field training and the Crucible.
Nathaniel will be in the Sidney area on a recruiter assistance assignment until Feb. 10.
Votruba will report to Camp Pendleton in California on Feb. 11 to complete his infantry training.
