Low, Koenen place at Irish Invitational

Both Creek Valley wrestlers placed at the Irish Invite, hosted by St. Patricks High School in North Platte on Saturday.

Mason Low finished fifth and scored 11 team points in the 195 lbs. class. Gage Koenen fought his way to sixth and scored seven points for the Storm at 220 lbs.

Low won two of his four matches, including the battle for fifth place. Against Bryan Halstead of of North Platte Low won by a 9-3 decision in his final match of the day. Halstead finished in sixth.

Koenen meanwhile fared well after just his first meet of the season. He won two of the five matches on the day.
