Two more names tied to rash of thefts

The Cheyenne County sheriff’s office has identified two additional persons wanted in connection with multiple thefts that took place in rural parts of the county in the past few months.

Last week, the office issued arrest warrants for Martika Biggert for theft by receiving stolen property and possession of a controlled substance, both felonies. Sean Gdowski is wanted for theft by receiving stolen property, attempted possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school zone and possession of a controlled substance, all felonies as well.

Now the sheriff’s office has also issued arrest warrants for Brandon Terry and Anne Marie Preston, both for attempted possession of methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a school zone and possession of a controlled substance.

The sheriff’s office is asking for help from the public in locating all of these individuals in connection with several burglaries in the area, which local law enforcement have been investigating since November.

In recent weeks, the sheriff’s office, the Sidney Police Department, the Nebraska State Patrol and the Western Nebraska Intelligence and Narcotics Group task force worked together on searches and interviews for this investigation.

Some of the items stolen in the burglaries have been located.

Anyone with information about these crimes should contact the sheriff’s office at 254-2922, the police department at 254-5515 or crime stoppers at 254-3344.
