Arthur Lynn Dunphy, known as "Lynn" to family and friends, was born Oct. 16, 1925 in Eastlake, Colo. Lynn grew up on the family farm in Broomfield, where he attended a one room country school, then attended Holy Family Parochial High School and Regis University. After serving in the military during WWII, he met and married his "bride" of 63 years, Shirley Mae Stitt, Feb. 18, 1950. They raised their family of three children in the suburbs of Denver. Lynn, never one to be inside an office if it could be avoided, pursued a career as a Plumbing Contractor and Real Estate Broker. Lynn and Shirley "retired" to Winter Park, where they remodeled a log cabin into a home they enjoyed for ten years. They followed their daughter and her family to Sidney and made this town home for 20 years. Lynn was happiest with a fishing pole in his hand in his Rocky Mountains, and quiet time always included a book. He never truly retired and was always available for guidance with "do it yourself" projects. Lynn's favorite hobby above all others was traveling or being home with his "bride" and the family that surrounded him.

Lynn is survived by his wife: Shirley of Sidney; (2) daughters: Teresa "Tess" (Dean) Rood, of Sidney and Dawn (Kenneth) Knight, of Brush; (3) sisters: Carol Dunphy (SL) of Nerinx, Ky., Lois Dunphy (SL) of Nerinx, Ky., and Phyllis Brachle of Lakewood; (8) Grandchildren: Todd Haselgren of Gurley, Adam Haselgren of Tulsa, Okla., Shannon (Steve) Smelley of Lodgepole, Jesse Rood, of Sidney, Kari Rood of Sidney, Samantha (C.J.) Ewertz of Sterling, Ashley Knight of Brush, and Courtney Knight of Brush; (4) Great-Grandchildren: Ireland and Anderson Smelley of Lodgepole, Adilynn Thomforde of Brush and Evan Ewertz of Sterling. Lynn was preceded in death by his parents; (1) son: Timothy John; (1) daughter-in-law: Barbara Elaine Dunphy.
