The following people appeared in Deuel County District Court on Wednesday, April 2, before the Honorable Derek Weimer:

Shawn Nettles, age 30 of Sidney, appeared for sentencing on an amended charge of Attempted Distribution of Marijuana, a class IV felony. He received two days jail, $462 in fines and five years of probation.

Kenneth Turner, age 24 of Finleyville, Penna., appeared for a status hearing on a charge of Possession of Hash with Intent, Possession of Marijuana with Intent, Possession of Marijuana over 1 lb, Possession of Hash and No drug Tax Stamps. These are class III, III, IV, IV, IV felonies, respectively. His pre-trial conference is scheduled for June 4 at 1 p.m.

Gabriel Nowak, age 31 of Finleyville, Penna. appeared for a status hearing on the same charges as above. A status hearing is scheduled for June 4 at 9:30 a.m.

Brandon Terry, age 27 of Aurora, Colo. appeared for arraignment on a charge of Burglary, a class III felony. He pled not guilty. His status hearing has been scheduled for May 13 at 9 a.m.

Richard Waggoner, age 47 of Haxtun, Colo. appeared for sentencing on an amended charge of Theft. This is a class I misdemeanor. He received 12 months of probation and was ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $2340.

Sean Gdowski, age 34 of Dalton, appeared for arraignment on a charge of Theft by Receiving Stolen Property, Attempted Possession of Meth with Intent to Deliver within 1,000 feet of a school zone, Possession of Meth and Criminal Possession of Financial Transaction Device. These are class III, II, IV and III felonies, respectively. He pled not guilty. A status hearing is scheduled for May 7 at 9 a.m.

Wyatt Coleman, age 26 of Sidney, appeared for arraignment on a charge of Theft, a class III Felony. Pursuant to a plea agreement he pled no contest to an amended charge of Theft, a class IV felony. Sentencing is scheduled for May 13 at 10 a.m.

The following people appeared in Cheyenne County Court on Wednesday, April 2, before the Honorable Randin Roland:

Timothy Tscharner, age 25 of Sidney, appeared for a preliminary hearing on a charge of Failure to Register a Sex Offender. This is a class IV Felony. Pursuant to a plea agreement he pled no contest to an amended charge of Attempted Failure to Register and received a fine of $500 plus court costs.
