Donna Marie Susich

Donna Marie Susich passed away in Henderson, Nev. on March 30, 2014 with her devoted husband of 53 years, George M. Susich, by her side. She was 84 years old and lived a purpose filled and joyful life.

Donna was born in Lisco, Neb. to Louis R. Hagemeister and Emma Elizabeth Pickering, the youngest of four siblings. Her father, mother and siblings all preceded her in death. From simple beginnings, her family's farm life instilled strong work ethics and values, to a robust corporate lifestyle that included raising and relocating her growing family around the world for her husband's career. Wherever she lived she made lasting friendships and memories.

She had three children: Mark (Lisa) of Anchorage, Ala.; George (Elizabeth) of Phoenix, Ariz.; and Michael of Henderson. She was engaged in her sons' upbringing, education and sports. Her constant presence made her proud of the families and lives they created. She also invested time in her community and church that she called home. In her later years, she found great joy with the simplest of pleasures. Whether she was socializing with friends and neighbors, cooking at family gatherings or playing a game of Rummy with her three granddaughters Alexandra, Gabrielle, and Nina – she was dearly loved.

Services will be April 29, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. at Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church at 2300 Sunridge Heights Parkway, Henderson, NV 89052; in lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to their Church's building fund in Donna's name.
