Locals perform well at NJC horse show and competition

Northeastern Junior College, in conjunction with the American Stock Horse Association, sponsored the NJC Showdown, a three-day Equine Horse Show hosted by the Logan County Fair Grounds May 9-11. 

Three local Nebraska contestants, all riding horses owned by Watt Performance Horses of Sidney, placed high in the standings.

Jacey Watt, won the Amateur All-Around Award. 

Garry Watt won runner-up in the working cow horse division. 

Rachel Motzkus of Chappell placed 1st and 3rd in the Novice Amateur Division, riding two different horses during the competition.
