Company’s ‘business ethics cannot be trusted,’ members claim

The Sidney planning commission had some harsh words for Werner Construction at its Monday meeting, where chairman Jerry Spiker claimed the company’s business ethics couldn’t be trusted.

The city issued a conditional use permit to Werner Construction last fall to work out of the Kielian gravel pit, located one half mile south of the intersection of Roads 20 and 117, east of Sidney. The planning commission was already displeased that asphalt millings were stored on the site.
