Woten, Rozelle lead charge in Class D

Potter-Dix, Leyton and Creek Valley make a mark at state championship in Omaha

As three local schools sent qualifiers to the 2014 Class D NSAA State Track & Field Championships in Omaha last weekend, it was hard not to notice the many talented seniors leaving and the many underclassmen just beginning to make their mark.

Perhaps the transition was best visualized by the Potter-Dix Coyotes girls team. As senior Kate Woten said her farewell in grand style, freshman Alexus Rozelle served notice of her arrival with a debut no less spectacular.
