Matthews, Kershaw marry

Alyssa Matthews and Adam Kershaw were married Oct.19, 2013 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Sidney. Father Art Faessler officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Julie and Michael Matthews of Sidney. The bridegroom is the son of Janet and Patrick Kershaw of Sidney.

The bride was escorted by her father. She wore a gown of soft satin with a modified sweetheart neckline adorned with exquisite embroidery and Swarovkski Crystals, the midriff featured a crisscross pattern of pleats with a corset back and beaded classic cathedral train. She carried a bouquet of various flowers in shades of green with brown accents. Alyssa was attended by her friend, Sarah Deines.

Matron of Honor was the bride's sister, Emily Johnson. Bridesmaids were Jenna Wiemer, cousin of the bride, Kendra Hausmann, friend of the bride, and Rosa Beyer, friend of the bride. The bridesmaids wore olive green A-line strapless gowns.

The Best man was Dylan Fish, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Noah Matthews, brother of the bride, Kevin Binkley, friend of the groom, and Michael Deines, friend of the couple. The groomsmen wore dark brown tuxedos with ivory vests.

The flower girls were Reagan Fish and Leah Binkley, the ring bearer was Grady Hausmann, all friends of the couple. Ushers were John Wiemer, cousin of the bride, Christopher Johnson, brother-in-law of the bride, Michael Kershaw, uncle of the groom, and Zach Meyer, friend of the groom.

Following was a reception at the Cheyenne County fairgrounds. The couple honeymooned in the Florida Keys.

Alyssa is a registered nurse at Great Plains Regional Medical Center. Adam works as a Director of Aircraft Maintenance for Ballard Aviation.
