The following people appeared in Cheyenne County Court on Monday, April 28, before the Honorable Randin Roland:

Gary Vannatter Jr age 25 of Sidney, appeared for a pre-trial conference on a charge of DUI 1st Offense and Chem Test Refusal. Both are class W misdemeanors. He asked for a continuance to July 14 and Judge Roland granted it.

Jamie Holtz, age 27 of Sidney, appeared for entry of plea on a charge of DUI-D 1st 2nd Offense, a class W misdemeanor. A pre-trial conference has been scheduled for July 14.

Kathy Heath, age 52 of Sidney, appeared for presentment on a charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance: Hydrocodone, a class IV felony. She requested counsel and a preliminary hearing has been set for June 30 at 10:30 a.m.

Johnny Lancaster, age 52 of Sidney, appeared for presentment on a charge of Criminal Mischief, which is a class IV felony. He requested counsel and a preliminary hearing has been set for June 30 at 10:30 a.m.

Michael Anderson, age 21 of Sidney, appeared for arraignment on a charge of DUI-Drugs 1st Offense, a class W misdemeanor. He requested counsel. Entry of Plea is set for July 14.

Brandon Chaon, age 36 of Sidney, appeared for arraignment on a charge of DUI 1st High Test, a class W misdemeanor. He requested counsel. Entry of Plea is set for July 14.

Adrian Young, age 33 of Sidney, appeared for a pre-trial conference on a charge of DUI 1st and Leaving the Scene of an Accident. These are class W and II misdemeanors, respectively. A pre-trial conference has been set for July 14.

Brooke Bahr, age 20 of Sidney, appeared for sentencing on a charge of False Reporting, a class I misdemeanor. She received a $500 fine plus court costs.

David Kogl, age 56 of Sidney, appeared for entry of plea on a charge of Failure to Report an Accident, a class II misdemeanor. His pre-trial conference is set for July 28.

Joseph Bailey, age 19 of Sidney, appeared for presentment on a charge of Sexual Assault, 3rd Degree Sexual Assault of a Child and Child Abuse. The charges represent class II, IIIA and IIIA felonies, respectively. He was represented by counsel. His preliminary Hearing was scheduled for June 30, but the parties (special prosecutor and defense attorney) will be filing paperwork to schedule it.

The following person appeared in Deuel County District Court on Monday, June 23, before the Honorable Derek Weimer:

Louis Smith, age 33 of St. Louis, Mo., appeared for sentencing on an amended charge of Possession of Marijuana over 1 pound and Attempted Distribution of Marijuana. Both are class IV Felonies. Original charges were Possession of Marijuana over 1 pound, Poss of Marijuana with Intent and Tax Stamps. These are class IV, III and IV felonies, respectively. He received 5 years probation.
