Sidney's bats bust out in critical win at McCook

After starting the weekend off with a win courtesy of Grand Island’s forfeit, the Sidney Post 17 senior team smashed its way to an important 13-3 win on a sweltering Saturday afternoon at McCook.

Sidney totaled 14 hits on the way to plating its 13 runs. Ten of those hits came with two outs. The team was clearly much more focused in this game after a rough evening Thursday night in Gering.

The coaches had called a practice Friday afternoon in an effort to iron out the many mistakes made the previous night.
