Road closure update

As the work on 10th Ave. continues, new sections of the street will open while other sections will close.

On Monday, Aug. 11, the intersection of Linden St. and 10th Ave. will re-open to traffic. Additional sections of 10th Ave. between Linden and Maple streets will re-open to traffic later next week. Although this segment of 10th Ave. will be open to traffic, work will continue on street lights and sidewalks. Please watch for construction equipment and workers when traveling in this area.

Additionally, Monday afternoon will also see the closure of Phase three of the project. This will entail the closure of the 10th Ave. and King St. intersection along with 10th Ave. between Jackson and King streets.

The city and our contractors ask that anyone parking in this block on Monday morning to please have their vehicles removed by 1 p.m. The city will make every effort to contact owners of any vehicle still parked on the street after this time before having to tow them.

If you have any questions regarding this project please feel free to contact John Hehnke, public services director at the city’s administrative offices at 254-5300 or email at [email protected].
