The following people appeared in Cheyenne County Court on Friday, Sept. 5, 2014, before the Honorable Randin Roland:

Quentin Cranmore, age 39 of Sidney, appeared for entry of plea on a charge of DUI 1st and Chemical Test Refusal. A class W and I misdemeanor; respectively. He appeared with counsel and pled not guilty. Pre-trial conference set for Sept. 25.

Michael Knight, age 29 of Aurora, Colo., appeared for presentment on charges of Possession of Hash and Possession of Meth. Both class IV felonies. Preliminary hearing has been set for Sept. 17 at 4 p.m.

Blaine Smith, age 26 of Aurora, Colo., appeared for presentment on charges of Possession of Hash and Possession of Meth. Both class IV felonies. Preliminary hearing has been set for Sept. 17 at 4 p.m.

The following people appeared in Cheyenne County Court on Friday, Sept. 5, 2014, before the Honorable Wess:

Alex Balandran, age 22 of Sidney, appeared for sentencing on an amended charge of Obstructing a Peace Officer. A class I misdemeanor. He received six months bench probation and was ordered to pay court costs.

The following people appeared in Deuel County Court on Friday, Sept. 5, 2014, before the Honorable Randin Roland:

Robert Keuter, age 47 of Brule, Neb, appeared for a preliminary hearing on a charge of Distribution of MJ (x2). Both class III felonies. He waived the hearing and arraignment has been set for Oct. 6 at 1:30 p.m.

The following people appeared in Cheyenne County District Court on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2014 before the Honorable Derek Weimer:

George Ward, age 28 of Sidney, appeared for arraignment on an amended charge of 3rd Degree Assault. A class I misdemeanor. Pre-trial conference set for Oct. 15 at 4:30 p.m. Jury Trial set for Oct. 29-30.

Bart Butler, age 35 of Sidney, appeared for sentencing on a charge of Attempted Possession of Fentanyl. A class I misdemeanor. He received 12 months bench probation, 3 days in jail and a $500 fine.

Kathy Heth, age 59 of Sidney, appeared for entry of plea on a charge of Possession of Hydrocodone. A class IV felony. Pursuant to a plea agreement she pled guilty to an amended charge of Attempted Possession of Hydrocodone. A class I misdemeanor. Sentencing set for Nov. 5 at 9:30 a.m. PSI ordered.

Andrew Fairbanks, age 21 of Sidney, appeared for a status hearing on a charge of Child Abuse. A class IIIA felony. Status hearing set for Nov. 5 at 9:30 a.m.

Scott Sabin, age 51 of Sidney, appeared for entry of plea on a charge of Possession of Hash and Possession of Meth. Both class IV felonies. Pursuant to a plea agreement he pled guilty to an amended charge of Attempted Possession of both Hash and Meth. Both class I misdemeanors. PSI ordered. Sentencing set for Nov. 5 at 9:30 a.m.

Paige Lohman, age 24 of Sidney, appeared for entry of plea on an amended charge of Theft. A class I Misdemeanor. Pursuant to a plea agreement she pled guilty to another amended charge of Theft as a class II misdemeanor. She received 12 months bench probation and was ordered to pay $500 in restitution and court costs.

Joe Liges, age 54 of Sidney, appeared for entry of plea on two cases of Possession of Meth. Both class IV felonies. Pursuant to a plea agreement he pled no contest to one count of Possession of Meth. A class IV felony. PSI ordered. Sentencing set for Nov. 5. The other case was dismissed at the Defendant’s expense.

Charles Smith, age 37 of Dix, Neb., appeared for a status hearing on a charge of Terroristic Threats. A class IV Felony. He entered a plea of not guilty by reason of insanity. Stipulated bench trial set for Sept. 24 at 4 p.m.
