Demolition duty

City workers spray water on the debris of the old Elwell building at the corner of 9th Ave. and Hickory to keep airborne asbestos at bay during demolition Thursday morning. According to Brad Rowan, chief building official, some of the old stone used in construction of the building will be repurposed in other projects, including the restoration of Camp Lookout and signage for the Chamber of Commerce.
