Sidney cross country just misses sweep at Kearney

 


The Sidney High cross country teams came close to sweeping three consecutive meets on Monday in Kearney. The boys placed second overall with a score of 90, while the girls took first with an impressive score of 38.

Out of a field of 208 male runners, senior Jachob Wiedeburg came in with a time of 18:15, good for 14th place overall which led the Sidney boys. Senior Hayden Lieneman finished 21st at 18:36, while senior Brody McKnight followed just two seconds behind Lieneman for 22nd place. Junior Jacob Schaub’s 19:07 posting earned him 33rd place and was the last individual score factored...
