Judges will be out later this week as they select this year's winners of the annual "House Lighting" contest. They'll be looking for homes lit and decorated such as Julia Juedes' house on Clark Drive in Sidney, which has won first place in the past.
The Cheyenne County Visitors Committee will hold its annual "House Lighting" contest this week, with four prizes on the line for local residents.
This judges will drive by houses in Sidney this Thursday night and decide who's house has the most flare and pizazz.
First place receives $100, second place receives $75 and the third-place winner will receive $50.
The wild card prize is called the "Griswold Prize," named after the family in the movie, "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation." The winner of this award will also receive $100 and be awarded to the resident with the most elaborate h...
