Sidney man receives prison time for drug conviction

A 22-year-old Sidney man was sentenced on Wednesday to 20 to 60 months in prison for possession of methamphetamine.

Javier Campos was sentenced Wednesday in Cheyenne County District Court by Judge Derek Weimer. Campos received the maximum sentence for the class IV felony.

Previously. Campos was sentenced in March 2012 to two to four years in prison for attempted possession of methamphetamine with the intent to deliver. He was released on parole after serving seven months.
