The Western Nebraska Community College financial aid staff will present “Financial Aid 101” in several panhandle communities throughout January and early February. Students and parents are welcome to attend.

The sessions are:

• Jan. 28, WNCC Alliance Campus, 6:30 p.m.

• Jan. 31, WNCC Scottsbluff Campus (Harms Advanced Technology Center), 10 a.m.

• Feb. 4, Bayard High School, 6:30 p.m.

• Feb. 11, Kimball Jr./Sr. High School, 6:30 p.m.

WNCC’s financial aid presentation includes information on FAFSA forms, scholarships, PELL grants and student loans. There are door prizes at each location, including scholarships to WNCC.

“These informative sessions are not just for WNCC students,” WNCC financial aid director Sheila Johns. “We encourage students interested in attending any college to attend one of our presentations. Watch for our FAFSA Frenzy dates in February when we’ll have open sessions to assist with preparing your free application for Federal Student Aid form.”
