Kahrs celebrate 60 years of marriage

The family of Ernest and Pauline (Schoenholtz) Kahrs of Lodgepole, would like to announce the couple's 60th wedding anniversary.

They were married Feb. 13, 1955, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lodgepole. They made their home on a farm north of Lodgepole where they raised their three children, Pam, Steve and Sandy.

Ernie and Pauline moved to town in 2000, but still continue to raise wheat at this time. They enjoy visits from their 2 daughters and spouses, Pam and Tom Nelson of Bluewater Lake, N.M. and Sandy and Marc Nelson of Sidney. Their son Steve passed away in 2011.

They have 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren: Andrea Nelson of Arlington, TX, Melissa Keen and children Landon and Aubrey of Sidney, Dyllon Kahrs and children Alyssa, Kylon, and Brailynn of Brush, Colo., Chelsea and Chase Gaines and son Corbin of Wheatland, Wyo., Kyle Nelson of Lodgepole, and Jesse Nelson of Sidney.
