Holy Trinity Lutheran Church Dates of Lenten soup suppers & Lenten worship services are March 18 and 25

Sidney Regional Medical Center will hold the Leprechaun Leap, a 5K run or 10K walk on Saturday March 21. Register at the Cheyenne County Community Center. The race begins at the Hillside Golf Course. Race will start at 8 a.m. Contact Kiersten at the center at (308) 254-7000 for more information.

Regional West Hospital in Scottsbluff will hold its Third Annual Boxer Rebellion, a 5K run/walk, on Saturday, March 21 at 9 a.m. For more information, call Lucrecia Spady at (308) 630-2842.

Lodgepole Lions Club will host a pancake supper fundraiser 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at the Lodgepole Community Hall. Donations are for two scholarships to Creek Valley High School graduates.

Week of March 23-27

Kindergarten registration for Sidney Public Schools for the 2015-’16 school year will take place March 23-27 at Central Elementary, 1114 16th Ave. Children must turn 5 on or before July 31, 2015. Call (308) 254-2276 for more information.

Two Easter Egg Hunts will be held on Saturday, March 28 from 1-3 p.m. for children ages 19. The first hunt will be held at 1 p.m. at SRMC’s Sloan Estates Assisted Living, 2550 Craig Ave., followed by a 2nd hunt at 2 p.m. at SRMC Extended Care Unit, 549 Keller Drive. Sunday, March 29

The combined church choirs of First United Methodist Church and Light Memorial Presbyterian Church will present the Lenten Cantata “Witness” by Lloyd Larson. The presentation will be on Palm Sunday, March 29, at 2 p.m. at Light Memorial Presbyterian Church (14th & Linden) in Sidney and is open to the public. A free will offering or a donation of canned goods will be collected and given to the Sidney Food Pantry.

Monday, March 30

There will be a Blood Drive held on Monday, March 30th from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at WNCC Sidney in rooms 115/116. You can sign up for a slot at http://www.bloodhero.com with sponsor code WNCC. Walk-ins are also welcome. Questions can be directed to Jeff Summitt @ 308-254-7441.

March 31 and April 1

Youth auditions for “The Nifty Fifties” will be held March 31 and April at 6 p.m. for actors and actresses ages 6-20. They will be held at WNCC’s Sidney Campus. Participants may come one night or both and do not need to prepare anything. Call Jeff of Amy Summitt at (308) 254-7071 with questions.

Saturday, April 18

Girls Day Out will be held Saturday, April 18. Breakfast will be served from 8-10 a.m., registration takes place 10 a.m.-noon. Goodie bags are filled with items and coupons from participating merchants. Box lunches will be available for purchase. Call the Chamber at (308) 254-5851 with questions.

The Nancy Fawcett Memorial Library in Lodgepole will hold a “Jigsaw Puzzle” tournament on Sunday, April 19 from 1-5 p.m. Teams consist of two adults. Registration ends March 23 at 5 p.m.
